TOURING AND CAMPING

Situated near the beautiful beach of Mwnt, on the West Coast of Wales, Blaenwaun Caravan Park is an uncommercialised family run caravan and camping site offering a professional yet personal service in safe and friendly surroundings.

Elevated above Cardigan Bay, Blaenwaun benefits from spectacular coastal views. Our spacious, well laid out touring park is the perfect location for exploring this enchanting part of West Wales. Peaceful, with glorious sea views, it is ideal for anyone who wants ‘an away from it all’ break. On a clear day, Llyn Peninsula can be seen out to sea as you look North along with Ynys Enlli (Bardsey). It is also possible to see the Snowdonia mountain range across the bay. Sunsets are nothing short of magical.

There are still things to do after sunset as well. Barbecues and contained campfires are allowed so long as they do not cause annoyance to others or cause damage to the grass. Sit back, look up as on a clear, dark night the stars can be just as appealing as the beaches are during sunny days. Here in West Wales there are some great places to experience the natural wonders under dark skies, that astronomers have singled out as world-beating places for stargazing. Blaenwaun is situated between two Dark Sky Discovery sites, at Poppit Sands and Penbryn beach, recognised for being the best sites in the UK to watch the night sky without too much interference from light pollution.

Quiet time on the park is 10 pm-8 am and with all that fresh sea air, adults and children are usually ready for a good night’s sleep!

ON SITE FACILITIES

10 amp electric hook-ups pitches are available for caravans, motor caravans and tents. Water points are placed around the site, with chemical waste and a motorhome drop point available.
There is modern, well maintained, 4* toilet and shower block, exclusively for the use of the touring and camping pitches, and a fully equipped disabled/ family shower room with baby change facilities. Showers and all hot water on site is free. There are hairdryers available for a small charge.
Laundry facilities are available with two commercial washing machines, two tumble dryers, ironing board and iron. We also have an indoor campers kitchen with dishwashing facilities, microwave, kettle, toaster, hob and a full size fridge. Ice pack can be frozen at the shop.
A small on-site shop selling basic provisions is open twice a day, morning and evening.
Recycling area – we encourage all guests to recycle for the good of the environment
WiFi is available throughout the park which you can purchase.
Outdoor tap and hose for washing wetsuits and boards.

CHILDREN AND PETS

Children love Blaenwaun. There is a large safe play area in the centre of the park, making it easy for you to watch over your children. There is plenty of room for ball games, kite flying or just riding a bike. Alternatively, they can say ‘hello’ to our donkey, goats and pot bellied pigs. Pets are welcomed, but please clean up after your dog using the dog bins provided and they must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised off the field.
